I founded Tuesday’s Bride to share my love of exquisite textiles and rare bridalwear. I wanted to create a unique studio, imagining creative and open-minded brides - women who share my feeling that discovering a dress with a past, is an inspiring, creative and conscious choice.

My vision was to create a welcoming and beautiful space to offer the refined and rare collection from. It was important to me to present the collection tastefully, with an air of contemporary appeal, and for guests of the studio to feel welcome, inspired, and excited to find bridalwear that they truly adore.

I have always loved ‘treasure hunting’ and seeking out aged and interesting pieces of clothing and interior objects. The process of restoration, styling and arranging each piece within its perfect context is something I take pleasure and pride in. This personal passion, along with an artistic eye and attention to detail, has become the heart of quality and curation at Tuesday’s Bride.

The gowns continually inspire me in my work as a resident textile artist. I use salvaged fabrics such as tulle, chiffon and lace to create nature-inspired, fine art machine embroidery. It feels collaborative and exciting to share both the creative inspiration that comes from the collection at Tuesday’s Bride and my artwork.

Before founding Tuesday’s Bride, I enjoyed a wonderful and rewarding career as a physiotherapist. Alongside Tuesday’s Bride, I cherish my wonderful family. I live in Lewes, and it is an absolute joy to share the creativity and inspiration from the studio.

“Amy’s eye for style and quality is second to none and I have had a glimpse at the pieces she has collected and they are really beautiful. I am finding that the brides I dress are looking for vintage and Preloved over off the peg. They want something unique and special and love thinking about who wore it before them. I am so excited to be able to take my clients to see Amy. They are in for a treat!”

The experience

We can’t wait to meet you!

Tuesday’s Bride is a small, independent bridal studio — a personal venture built on love of craft rather than commerce. Every appointment is unhurried and personal.

Set within a beautiful courtyard garden on a working farm just outside of Lewes in East Sussex, Tuesday’s Bride offers a setting as charming and characterful as the gowns themselves.

Our one-hour appointments are relaxed and personal, giving you time to explore the collection with friendly guidance as you discover styles that reflect you and your day. We get creative, trying veils, accessories and styling ideas, and can discuss bespoke customisation to make a piece truly yours.

The courtyard farmshop and café provide a wonderful opportunity to extend your visit too.
